Mission
To cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community of mechanical keyboard enthusiasts, fostering an environment of learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Founding Story
In the vibrant corridors of the University of Adelaide, a shared passion for mechanical keyboards brought together a group of enthusiasts, sparking the formation of keebclub in 2022. This diverse group of students, connected by their fascination with the tactile feedback of switches and the aesthetic beauty of custom keycaps, sought to create a community where this niche hobby could flourish. They envisioned a space where individuals could gather to share their knowledge, collaborate on projects, and explore the depth of mechanical keyboard craftsmanship together.
What began as informal meetups quickly transformed into a structured club, organising workshops, events, and creating an online forum for enthusiasts to connect. keebclub's founders aimed to make the club a beacon for creativity, learning, and friendship, not just within the university, but extending out to the wider community. Their efforts cultivated a vibrant ecosystem where both seasoned builders and newcomers could find a sense of belonging, united by a shared love for the art and science behind mechanical keyboards.
